Popular Education

Popular Education is a collective learning process during which communities create consciousness about oppressive situations and strengthen their ability, especially on an organizational level, to overcome them and transform reality. It is one way for communities to collectively confront economic exploitation, social discrimination, cultural dependence, and political domination.

We were inspired by this explanation of Popular Education from the compañeros Federico Coppens and Herman Van de Velde of CURN/CICAP, Nicaragua.
