INTERCAMBIO Interest Form
In our current political climate, the people most affected by structural inequities are being attacked, imprisoned, deported, and worse. Although the few in power are trying to divide us, CPC is intentionally creating spaces for people to collaborate, build trust, form meaningful relationships, and heal together.
InterCAMBIO is back!
The Center for Participatory Change (CPC) is looking for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and Latinx people with intersectional identities who want to explore language, identity, and culture in community. InterCAMBIO is an opportunity for adults and youth to gather and share personal stories in a cultural language exchange between English and Spanish speakers. During the six-week series, we will cover self, history & race, spirituality, food, sexuality & gender, and family & home.
Our Future is youth!
InterCAMBIO, Jr. is a program for youth participants that focuses on literature written by BIPOC authors. It combines literacy and art to explore the same topics as the adults, in an age friendly manner as a way to encourage parents and children to have meaningful conversations. We highly recommend parents and children to experience InterCAMBIO together. However, if a parent cannot participate in InterCAMBIO, they can still sign up their child/children for InterCAMBIO, Jr. InterCAMBIO is also open to adult only participants.
The six-week series will meet every Wednesday from September 6th through October 11th from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. We are asking that participants attend all six sessions. Please complete this interest form by July 31st and you will be contacted for more information. For any questions, contact [email protected] or Giannina at 828-232-2049.
