Pigeon Community Development Club

The Pigeon Community Development Club is working to establish an African American community center in the old Pigeon Street Elementary School, which served Haywood County’s African American community before integration. Currently, PCDC is working to get access to the building, while also raising funds for renovation and programs. CPC has been supporting the group in writing a grant to the Golden LEAF foundation, and in putting together an application for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
